Founded and led by Lionel Meunier, the early music ensemble Vox Luminis has claimed the international spotlight with its unique sound. The group performs over 70 concerts annually worldwide and specialises in the 17th and early 18th-century English, Italian, and German repertoire, which can be heard on some 20 critically acclaimed recordings that have won them numerous awards, including the prestigious Gramophone Recording of the Year Award, BBC Music Magazine Award, and Diapasons d’Or. In their Hong Kong debut, Vox Luminis and Lionel Meunier will perform in two concerts. One will feature single-choir motets by the members of the Bach family, and in the other one, they will be joined by NOĒMA in performing the crown jewel of the baroque vocal repertoire:  the double-choir motets by J. S. Bach. Without a conductor, the two choirs will deliver the unconfinable genius of Bach with a shared passion and sensitivity to ensemble singing, promising a stunning close to NOĒMA’s first fully-fledged season.
